As I began to explain in the last post, I was unable to spend a ton of time at the actual festival (it was Side Party city for me). But! I still got to catch a couple of key performances and ran into some very special people along the way. So without further ado, I present to you my top moments (in no particular order) of Coachella 2008 (pictures and more to come throughout the week):
Getting to go backstage for Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. She is one of the most amazing performers that I have ever seen in my life!
Running into Bret from Flight of the Conchords at a party and then having him re-enact the Prince concert (that I had to miss) after I asked him how it was.
Having a car pull up next to mine and 5 in the morning, rolling down the window, and realizing that it was M.I.A. asking me for directions.
Going from a sole Friday ticket to an Artists Backstage wristband in a matter of minutes after arriving at the festival. Thank you S.! (p.s. that is not my arm)
Stumbling across the Vampire Weekend guys for like the 40th time this week (they were a couple of rows behind me at the Kanye West concert, etc) and still not getting the courage to go up and talk to them.
Dancing in a group with Sia at the Jeremy Scott party. She was a crazy fun dancer!
Free booze everywhere! Only downside was that it was so hot that the thought of actually drinking anything except for water was rather unbearable.
I think that's about it. If I remember more, I will post 'em tomorrow. Bye for now!
